Cleophes Owens, Jr. 75 of Memphis,Tennessee died Sunday February 26, 2017 at Methodist University Hospital.  Cleophes was a life-long member of Trinity CME Church.

Cleophes was preceded to his heavenly home by his father, Cleophes Owens, Sr., sisters Beatrice Fleming and Pearlie Owens Legette, and baby brother Jerry Owens.  Those left behind to continue his legacy are his loving wife Marie Kirk, sons Cortney Duane of Memphis and Brent Adrian (Kristin) of Dallas, Texas.  He is also survived by his devoted mother, Lillie Fleming Owens, Brother Willie C. Owens of Minneapolis,  Three sisters - Angeline Vaulx, Coreatha Webb and Marjorie Beavers, all of Memphis: three godchildren - godson Lanny Vaulx, Jr. and goddaughters Michaela Moore of Knoxville and Malaika Moore of Atlanta; a brother-in-law Yumie (Martha) Kirk; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.


Visitation will be Friday, March 3rd from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 -10 a.m.  The Alpha  Phi  Alpha Omega service will begin at 10 a.m. with funeral service to began at 11 a.m. all at Trinity C.M.E. Church 1096 Thomas Street Memphis, Tennessee 38107.

Interment, West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road Memphis, Tennessee at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017
