Ms Glenda Faye Calhoun, age 66, of Atoka, Tennessee passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Baptist Hospital, Tipton County, Covington, Tennessee.

Glenda possessed outstanding achievements as a Career Level III teacher in Tipton County, Memphis City and Shelby County Schools for 35 years.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. Miller Calhoun and Mrs. Willie Harris Calhoun.  She has one daughter Mrs. Tarsha James (Thed) of Huntsville, AL; one beloved grandson, Zachery Smith; one great granddaughter, Logan Smith; five sisters, Joyce Richardson, Debra Dowell, Christine Rivers (James), Frances Douglas (Phelan) and Eva Smith; one brother, Thomas Calhoun (Deborah); two aunts, Louise Shepherd and Emma Jean Grandberry.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Miller Calhoun, Bobby Calhoun and Tommie Blaine.

Her visitation will be Friday, July 19th from 4 - 8 p.m. at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc., 7788 Church Street, Millingston, Tennessee 38053.  There will be a viewing on Saturday, July 20th from 10 - 10:55 with a funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at St John M.B. Church, 1998 Atoka Idaville Road, Atoka, Tennessee 38004.

Interment will follow at St. John Community Cemetery.
