Dr. James Leroy Haynes, Sr., born in Kerrville, Tennessee October 2, 1936, departed this life at his home in St. Paul, MN August 31, 2021.

James is survived by his wife, Harriett Copher Haynes;  three children, James L. Haynes, Jr., Washington, DC, Christopher  Marcus Lawrence Haynes, Atlanta, GA; daughter, Lia Haynes, Atlanta, GA; "second" daughter, Sheila Dick Haynes; two sisters, Florida Haynes Thomas, Memphis, TN and Victoria Haynes-Johnson, Evinston, FL; and three grandchildren, Kellen Marcus, Laurel Christine and Kendall Christopher Haynes.

A memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 8801 Bethuel Road, Millington, TN, September 25, 2021, 2:00 p.m.  Rev C.D. Middleton, Pastor; Elder W. T. Thomas, III, Eulogist.
