Obituary

Mrs. Lois Elaine Patterson, age 78, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at St. Frances Hospital Park in Memphis.

On September 25, 1941 God reached down and blessed Aaron and Inez Neal with a beautiful daughter they named Lois Elaine.  Both of whom preceded her in death.  Lois was raised by her beloved "Auntie and Uncle Jones", Henry Philip and Rev. Dr. Addie Ophelia Jones.  As she matured, she grew to be a loving, determined, responsible, and unselfish young woman. Lois attended Father Bertrand High school.  "Elaine" as she was lovingly called by her family accepted Christ at an early age.  As a sign of her undying faith she united with the congregation of believers at St. James C.M.E.  Church where she was a life long member.

Of the hundreds of invitations extended to Lois during her lifetime, she peacefully accepted the most meaningful of all on Monday, May 4, 2020: "Come, ye blessed of my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you."

Certainly, a void is left in the lives of these survivors who accept God''s will as their own: her daughters Kimberly Patrice (Barry) Springfield, Alicia Rose Alexander of Memphis; five grand daughters Kristen Nichole Haywood, Whitney Elaine Springfield, Yasmine Taylor Springfield, Shelley Nicole Springfield, and Barri Alexis Springfield; five great-grandchildren; brothers Aaron Neal Jr., Larry Neal, Rodney Neal and sister Betty Ann Neal all of Detroit, Michigan; a myriad of cousins, nieces and nephews; and countless friends and extended family who will miss her dearly.

There will be a walk through viewing on Saturday May 9th from 1 - 2 p.m. at Jefferson Mortuary, Inc. 7788 Church Street, Millington, Tennessee 38053.
